Programs, Ministry Enrichment, and CEUs

Programs

At BeADisciple, we help you serve your church more effectively and live your faith more deeply.  Participating in programs online means the challenge comes from the courses themselves, not the logistics of getting to them.

Lay Servant Ministries (LSM)

Discover the wealth of ministry training opportunities found in our Advanced Lay Servant Ministry offerings. Covering a wide variety of topics, these courses are vital in seeking or renewing lay leadership credentials in the United Methodist Church. While these courses follow guidelines for LSM credentialing, their subjects and gained knowledge are valuable regardless of denominational affiliation and all interested persons are welcome to enroll.

Certified Lay Ministry (CLM)

Experience our professional and personal online format of the  modules necessary for those seeking approval as Certified Lay Ministers in the United Methodist Church. Check out the CLM webpage to learn more about requirements for participation and if these online offerings are right for you.

Wesley Academy

Learn from world-class scholars and share thoughts and ideas with others in these theologically robust courses developed in partnership with Wesley Theological Seminary. Courses may be taken a la carte or as part of one of two certification tracks.

Ministry Enrichment courses

These stand-alone courses are not part of a certification or other roster of required courses. Instead, they offer rich content that will support you in your ministry work, whether you’re a layperson or in a professional ministry setting, without the commitment of a larger program.

You can find these courses in our Course Schedule.

CEUs

Every BeADisciple course offers Continuing Education Units (CEUs) upon successful course completion.

What are CEUs, and why might you need them?  Some professions — like pastors, chaplains, and people who work in churches or other religious fields — require or encourage them. If you need them, you’ll know. If you don’t — don’t worry!  You’ll still be getting high-quality instruction that will enrich your faith life and ministry.
