How do we pray?
“Embracing Personal Prayer” helps followers of Christ answer this question in practical ways and encourages them to move toward maturity in prayer. In this course you will take a closer look at Jesus’s life of prayer, giving you insights that will help you model a meaningful prayer life to others. Learners will examine their own prayer lives and discover tools to help in the process of entering personal prayer. Learners will explore intimacy with God and determine how to move to a more personal prayer life that builds a closer relationship to the Savior. Methods such as fasting, listening, using Scripture and hymns, journaling, and intercession prayer will help you grow in practical ways both as a disciple and as an effective prayer mentor.
You will need a copy of “Lord Teach Us to Pray” by Margie Burger. This book will help you understand that prayer is a relationship with our Heavenly Father that grows and matures over time.
