These not-so-ordinary times are the perfect time to rediscover the power of praying the Lord’s Prayer. Based on the best-known prayer in the world, this study invites you and your fellow students to join the instructor in unpacking the existential power of this insightful theological statement. As you examine, discuss, and engage in practical exercises that guide you through re-reading and re–praying the Lord’s Prayer phrase-by-phrase, you gain a better awareness and understanding of the prayer Jesus gave his disciples when they asked him to teach them how to pray. Author Don Underwood advocates that “daily reciting the prayer is a powerful tool for developing a rich devotional life,” leading us to experience a greater sense of peace, purpose, and connection with God while encountering the distractions and challenges of everyday life.

Past Learners Said…
“I have truly appreciated the daily blog, contemplation and meditation materials, discussion questions, and interaction with other class members. I have also appreciated the materials that you have included that we can have in our own personal files. It has been a wonderful two weeks.”
“Thank you for doing this course. It has given me a lot to think about and I need to start thinking differently about things I have always thought in one way.”
“I enjoyed your class concerning the Lord’s Prayer. I reread the book and notes then shared the book with a friend which I discussed with them. Since the class, I realized how much I learned and now apply to my everyday life.”
“Thank you Barbara for leading this class. It has opened me up for a few changes in my daily routine. It has also helped with the study I am leading about The Lord’s Prayer. I have never used Blackboard and it took a few days for me to fully understand and use it but thank you for being patient with me. I like the reactions from others.”
“Thank you for sharing this resource. The idea of meditating or keeping the Lord’s Prayer fresh, or even prayer itself, so that we don’t feel too distanced from Him as well is important. Keeping it a habit without making it something that is just on autopilot.”
“This course was great! I loved looking at a new translation every day and think I will keep that up for a while thanks to BibleGateway. The resources are very valuable. I also have stored them away for review and further contemplation. This was a marvelous group of seekers. I am very happy to have been a part of this class.”
