This two-week course is for anyone bravely entering a shared ministry or cooperative parish setting. The instructor will share 18 years of practical experience with step-by-step guidelines that explore the heart/ mind connections, nuts and bolts details, core values, past/present/future visioning, pastoral care, missions, and outreach to make disciples of Christ. True vignettes will be shared along with hope-filled, positive Biblical references to illustrate how holy opportunities can bubble up at any time, especially for those prepared to accept them as God’s gifts.
Learners are required to participate in daily lessons, practice assignments, and Blackboard interactions with other students. Optional Zoom sessions will be offered. The class will provide a framework for preparation in a safe place.

About the Instructor
Darlene E.R. Resling is a lifelong Methodist living out her call as an ordained United Methodist elder in the New York Conference after teaching secondary English in New York state for 33 years. In-depth work on her Doctor of Ministry dissertation gave her a culminating epiphany that her rich and varied experiences in shared ministry must be offered to others for preparation and training purposes. This course is the result. Darlene is also a published author of numerous educational plays, resource books, games, and articles in “The Circuit Rider,” “The Upper Room,” The Vision,” and “The Connector.”
