Kay Psencik
Kay Psencik has learned that humans don’t realize how fast-paced their lives are until they slow down, but admits it’s a hard practice to learn. Daily silence, ensuring she is always in a small group, using Lectio Divina, and the Quadrilateral have helped her be willing to hear what God calls her to be and do, and open to new ideas.
This has led Kay to active participation in Katy (Texas) First United Methodist Church. With a doctorate in educational administration, she is a Certified Lay Minister who leads courses of study at her church that are intended to deepen spiritual and leadership practices. She also has facilitated 18 members of her church to become Certified Lay Servants and has led part of their courses. Her congregational activities include leading crafts for vacation Bible school, children’s music camp, and Musical Monday Funday for elementary children.
