Calvin Miller has been a local pastor in the United Methodist Church for 21 years and is currently serving his fifth appointment. He earned a B.S. in business administration from the University of Phoenix and an M.Div. from Drew University. He also served in the U.S. Army, both on active duty and in the National Guard.
As a Desert Storm veteran, ministry to veterans is near to Calvin’s heart. He co-authored curriculum for a Lay Servant class, “Home,” which explores how to best interact with returning veterans by examining our nation’s wars/conflicts; the deployment process; active duty vs. National Guard vs. reserve service; deployments; and other military matters.
Calvin serves on district and conference committees on Lay Servant Ministries and teaches several classes each year, both in-person and online.
