This course will help clergy and lay people identify possible funding sources beyond the congregation. Participants will learn how to understand the communities they serve based on data, and examine their own congregational passion to identify funding sources. An experienced fundraiser, the instructor will introduce you to tools that could unlock additional funding opportunities, including funding sources outside the church. She will help you look at a bigger picture of scriptural focus, collaboration, data exploration, and dreams of building the Kingdom of God.
To earn .5 CEUs and a completion certificate, four daily Blackboard forums will be required along with one Zoom meeting, held on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. Eastern time. The meeting will not be recorded. Learners not interested in the CEU and certificate are welcome to participate in just the Zoom session.

About the Instructor
Sandra Perl has been fundraising for various organizations for 25 years. She currently is the founder and executive director of The Living Well Mission in Penn Yan, New York. Sandra believes fundraising is about knowing your mission, building relationships, and knowing God is in charge. Church leaders are not prepared for the challenges of the fiscal world we have been facing in the last 25 years, and can help learners look at a bigger picture toward this process.
