LSM186 – Teaching Biblical Faith: Leading Small Group Bible Studies

In this practical, interactive two-week course, participants will examine different approaches to Bible study and how they empower leaders to understand this vast library of books. The course teaches participants how to shape a study of Scripture for a small group, how to teach so the witnesses of the Bible are respected and honored, and how to help today’s readers find meaning and direction.

LSM326 – Embracing Personal Prayer

In this course you will take a closer look at Jesus’s life of prayer, giving you insights that will help you model a meaningful prayer life to others. Methods such as fasting, listening, using Scripture and hymns, journaling, and intercession prayer will help you grow in practical ways both as a disciple and as an effective prayer mentor.

LSM313 – Proclaiming Scripture with a Storytelling Spirit for Summer

Highlights from the book of Acts! We’ll dig into drama as the Church crosses boundaries: Pentecost, the first deacons (and the first church fight), Stephen’s murder, Philip in Samaria and the Ethiopian, the call of Saul, and Peter and Cornelius. We’ll dig into the early church’s politics, perils, courage, and faith – stories with powerful connections to our world today.

WA206 – Leading Like Nehemiah

The story of Nehemiah’s amazing work in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem is well known. Less well known, though, are the unique lessons he personifies for being a leader today. In this course, learners will explore a number of these leadership themes, including the role of prayer, the discernment of vision, the development of a team, and the work to persevere through inevitable challenges.
