Fear and anxiety are often seen as biblically sinful feelings, signifying a lack of faith in God. But as humans, everyone has these and many other feelings. Sometimes these emotions can get in the way of growing or sustaining either faith or a relationship with God. In this course, learners explore anxiety and fear: How they can sometimes hinder us, various Scriptures that point to these feelings, how to biblically overcome fear and anxiety, and other methods of help.
Fear and anxiety are not bad, and you are not a bad Christian. Let’s learn together different ways to manage these feelings and stay true to our beliefs.

About the Instructor
Amber Cheesebrough is a clinical coordinator for Ascent Health, a Wraparound agency in Louisiana. She assists case managers in facilitating care for high-risk youth with severe behavioral health issues. She has been working in the behavioral health field for SIX years, first in oncology and now with youth. She has taken multiple certification classes, including those specializing in bereavement, trauma, ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), anxiety and depression with health traumas, and others. She currently specializes in youth who are placed in juvenile detention or at a behavioral health hospital. In coordination with clinical teams, she recommends services and testing they need once they go back home, evaluates if long-term care is appropriate for them, gives recommendations on future care, and does research on the causation of their hospitalizations to prevent repeat placements.
