Enneagram for Church Leaders

Is your church going through a major change? Is there an undercurrent of tension? Are you having recurring problems that never seem to get resolved? The enneagram may be able to help you.
Focusing on the “why” behind actions rather than simply what people do, the enneagram is a personality typing system that can help church leaders understand themselves and their communities better. The enneagram can give us compassionate insight into our own motives, world views, communication styles, and habitual behavior patterns as well as those of others.
This course is for all church leaders – both formal and informal – who are interested in helping their church find ways to deal with conflict, navigate change, and address interpersonal issues with grace and compassion. Participants do not need to know their enneagram type before the course begins but will likely discover it during the course.
In addition to Blackboard interactions, 1 optional Zoom meeting will be held on Friday, January 22, 2027. The meeting will be recorded.

About the Instructor
Beth Beaty is a certified enneagram teacher. For over a decade she has helped individuals and church leadership teams use the enneagram as a powerful tool for personal, relational, and spiritual development. Beth’s approach to the enneagram is practical, aimed at giving church leadership and staff the insight and tools to develop healthier communication, break unhealthy patterns and ease their congregations through change. Beth is a Certified Lay Minister in the Minnesota/Dakotas Conference of the United Methodist Church.
