Fear not — instructor Elaine Short, CLM has been preaching children’s sermons for 42 years and can help you to be more comfortable writing and delivering a sermon to the children in your church. This course will last 2 weeks and will introduce several approaches to writing a children’s sermon. Participants will write practice sermons during the course and share them with the class for feedback.

About the Instructor
Elaine Short is an LSM Director who loves equipping laity for preaching and leading. She has been a Certified Lay Servant for 44 years and a Certified Lay Minister for the last five years. She has been working with children since she was 14 years old and has served as a Sunday School superintendent for many years in the past, preaching children’s sermons most of her career. She loves teaching and preaching to both children and adults. Elaine believes her God-given mission is to use those gifts to better equip Lay Servants to serve their churches using their gifts to spread the Word of God as Jesus directed, doing all we can to make disciples for Christ.
