This course begins the journey of transformational servant leadership that sees beyond the present to a future that God created and redeemed through Jesus. As each congregation chooses how it will respond to its current reality, the lay ministry shapes its response to become transformed leaders following Jesus’ model of servant leadership.
In this course, you will explore the meaning and the office of class leader, the contemporary office and work of class leader, and the difference between church membership and discipleship.

This course will reference, but go beyond, the official United Methodist documents to include art, music, film and video resources to enrich our understanding and participation in Holy Communion.
