How can we “love others” more? What can we give them that we haven’t? Let’s work with our minds and hands on some new ways to give them our hearts. We will get together for a three-hour Zoom workshop to collaborate through creative problem-solving and inventing ways to help others. We will use breakout rooms to connect, giving our creativity and time to serve in different ways than we have before.
This session will be recorded to refer back to for a limited time and to fulfill the requirements for the 0.3 CEUs available. If you choose, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate further and share your initial ideas, and you will be provided with follow-up ideas and resources to continue creating after this event.
The required Zoom meeting will be held on November 27th from 6 pm – 9 pm EST and will be recorded. This course is different in that the Blackboard interactions the week after the Zoom are optional.
This course is eligible for 0.3 CEUs.

About the Instructor
Teryl Cartwright is a writer, teacher, and certified lay servant in the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church.
While working for The United Methodist Stewardship Foundation she created curriculum and devotions on generosity and stewardship, developed donation letters and legacy requests for churches, and helped win their first grant with a new ministry model for “paying it forward.” During the pandemic, she helped a Lutheran church win a grant to add more fresh produce to their food pantry distributions for those suffering from food insecurity.
She was part of the Laity Leadership Academy offered in 2022 by The United Methodist Foundation of Pennsylvania and is offering this course in gratitude for the free training given to her cohort in the Susquehanna Conference.
