IFD Certification in
Effective church administration allows each community of faith to operate to its fullest potential and creates space for all people to grow, worship, and serve. Attending to the details of congregational life involves organization and inspiration, along with conflict resolution and stress management at times. The Certification in Church Administration offers a Biblical and theological approach to serving well from the front lines of congregational life and the practical tools for overseeing the essential functions of the church.

Certification Details
The IFD Certification in Church Administration requires just four 6-week courses of $125 each — a total of $500.
- Certification courses must be completed in order. Courses will be taught on a yearly rotation.
- Once you begin, you can complete all the courses you need for certification in just one year!
- First courses in the certification cycles are offered in either January or August, with some certifications relaunching at both times.
- This program is taught online via Blackboard Learn. Courses are mostly asynchronous, meaning you can complete the work at the time most convenient for your schedule. Daily engagement on the Discussion Board with peers, required reading, and assignments ensure a quality learning experience. Meet the Instructor
Harriet Wilkin
Beginning as a volunteer, Harriet Wilkin’s early ministry revolved around Christian program development for children, youth, and young adults. This led to paid staff positions in churches and since July 2015, she has been appointed a licensed local pastor.
Harriet has two bachelor’s degrees and a Master of Divinity degree. Her Bachelor of Science degree is in business administration/ management and her Bachelor of Arts degree is in critical communications. In 2015 Harriet completed her Master of Divinity degree at Claremont School of Theology.
