This course is about the challenges faced after learning one has a terminal diagnosis. Communication and honesty are key components in dealing with the diagnosis so the individual can live and die with dignity. Anyone who is an integral part of the living and dying process will learn valuable tools to utilize during this precious process.
Daily reading and discussion board entries are required for successful completion of this course, and learners will finish with confidence in their ability to not only assist well in challenging times but to lead others in doing the same.

About the Instructor
Gail Compton has extensive education and hands-on experience to guide you through the end-of-life process, whether this is for yourself or someone you love. She is a retired associate pastor for congregational care with the Kimberling City (Missouri) Methodist Church, and is a Certified Lay Minister and Certified Congregational Leader. In addition, she is a Certified Volunteer Chaplain with a local hospice, where she gained valuable insight from individuals and families as they prepared for end-of-life care. At her church, she is lay leader and co-facilitates the GriefShare program and Our Journey of Hope cancer care ministry.
