The Bible is clear in its instruction that the body of Christ is to care for those who might need support. Too often, though, this privilege is thought to be the sole responsibility of church staff. This course is intended for lay volunteers who have a heart for providing pastoral care. It covers five different talking points relating to supporting caregivers, widows and widowers, grief support, people with disabilities, and general visitations. The course also will provide crucial information on safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA. You will be equipped with learning and caring skills to provide this vital ministry and fulfill Jesus’s commandment to “Love one another.”
