This course leads you to learn from John Wesley how to practice relational evangelism. You will discover that evangelism involves not only sharing your faith with others but also welcoming people into a community where they can grow in faith. You will learn that evangelism/mission/outreach requires developing relationships with those that we are leading to Christ.

This class challenges you to become stewards-in-action in all God has entrusted to us. We will go beyond thinking in terms of ‘dollars contributed’ to see stewardship as becoming living examples of the gospel. If we take stewardship seriously – and joyfully – it will change our thinking, acting and imagining. And it will change our vision of ministry, working from the inside out.

This course is designed for lay persons, pastors, and church staff who want to discover—or rediscover—the formational and transformational work of the Spirit in the Church’s historic worship.
This spiritual journey is an opportunity to explore the mutual roots in Scripture and other story of the three “Abrahamic religions.” It will focus on what we have in common, how each faith’s wisdom can enrich our own, and how to begin having interfaith conversations, a spiritual journey never more relevant than in today’s world.
Try something fun with a lot of new ideas for using biblical storytelling in worship and teaching! This course explores a number of storytelling genres as well as telling the Biblical text, including midrash, chancel drama, first-person storytelling, puppetry, and more. The workshop also offers specific ideas for using and not abusing voice and body, enhancing tellings with props, digital media, and more with children and adults.
You may find yourself leading prayer in worship services as well as in other settings. Never fear – prayer is something we learn, and it can be taught! This course will teach you how to effectively prepare and lead various prayer forms, primarily in worship settings. It may challenge some of your assumptions, test some of your preconceived ideas, stretch your thinking and enrich your prayer life.
