Effective church administration allows each community of faith to operate to its fullest potential and creates space for all people to grow, worship, and serve. Attending to the details of congregational life involves organization and inspiration, along with conflict resolution and stress management at times. This first course in the church administration certification sequence allows learners to learn about compassion and love from Jesus’ example and how they can apply those outcomes to their ministry context today and tomorrow.

About the Instructor
Harriet Wilkin has an innovative approach to church administration, worship, and program design. While honoring tradition, she approaches spiritual formation through worship, prayer, and Bible studies utilizing an eclectic mix of church resources and materials. She takes a creative thinking approach to her ministry work and understands that everyone learns differently, each on our own spiritual journey.
Harriet is an advocate for first responders, veterans, people with disabilities, and their families. (Her late husband was a first responder and veteran.)
In addition to bachelor’s degrees in business administration/management and in critical communications, Harriet has earned a Master of Divinity degree at Claremont School of Theology.
